3-Year Aged – Phenimax Organic Aged Green Tea
Meticulously aged under precise temperature control — “Phenimax Organic Aged Green Tea”
What is Aged Green Tea?
“Aging” in tea refers to the natural deepening of aroma and flavor over time — it is not fermentation.
Although the enzymes in the tea leaves are no longer active, when the leaves are carefully stored in an oxygen-free environment, they develop a rich, complex fragrance reminiscent of fermentation.
Tea that has matured in this way — without enzymatic action — is called aged tea.
Through aging, the characteristic sharpness and greenness of fresh green tea soften, giving way to a mellow, rounded flavor. Aged tea is known for its smooth, clean mouthfeel, where the umami and sweetness become more pronounced.
Aged for 3 Years from the 2023 Harvest
Depth and smoothness refined by time.
Just as newly bottled wine grows richer and more aromatic with the passing years, tea too matures as time goes by.
The tea leaves harvested in 2023 were particularly well-suited for aging.
After being carefully stored and matured over time, they have developed enhanced umami, sweetness, and the inherent richness of the tea leaves — resulting in a deeply flavorful and refined tea.
A Limited Edition with a Gentle, Rounded Taste
Unlike the vivid freshness of new tea, this 3-year-aged tea offers a mellow, well-balanced flavor without any sharp edges.
Enjoy the limited-edition aged tea that unfolds slowly on the palate, revealing a gentle sweetness and profound umami.

Why mention "Altitude"?
Just like wine and coffee, the flavor of green tea is greatly influenced by elevation.
At altitudes below 200 meters, tea plants grow too quickly, often resulting in a flat and less refined taste.
At Phenimax, we carefully select only organic tea leaves grown above 200 meters, where the cool mountain air and day-night temperature variations nurture depth, aroma, and natural sweetness.
Experience the unique character of the land and the complex flavor of truly elevated tea in every sip.
Characteristics
A rich, sweet fragrance unfolds with every breath.
The mellow umami, gentle sweetness, and delicate astringency are unique to Yame’s Gyokuro.
In addition to the traditional low-temperature brewing method, you can also savor its elegant aroma through a slow, cold-water infusion known as reicha.
