This Yuzu-Style Tetsubin, as the shape is traditionally known, continues a long-standing heritage of showcasing bold, pressed leaf motifs—a technique deeply rooted in Japanese ironwork. Our workshop faithfully embraces this tradition, refining it with exceptional craftsmanship. Only the leaf-shaped areas are polished to a smooth finish, a detail that demands advanced skill and meticulous handwork, making this kettle a true labor of artisanal devotion. The lid is crafted in the Ubaguchi style, offering a seamless and harmonious visual fit that enhances the kettle’s elegance. Adding a thoughtful accent, the lid knob is designed to resemble a branch, evoking the image of a sun-kissed yuzu fruit. The handle features a Fukuro-Gane style with decorative “worm-eaten” texturing, resulting in a refined, petite, and relatively lightweight high-end tetsubin.
