A handcrafted hourglass designed to measure the precise steeping time for sencha, gyokuro, and temomicha (hand-rolled tea). Meticulously crafted by one of only two master hourglass artisans in Japan, this exquisite piece embodies both tradition and precision.

 

The Phenimax hourglass, crafted from pure white sand, is a precisely timed 90-second sand timer.

The hourglass measures the optimal extraction time for Sencha and temomicha in a single turn.
Flipping it twice extends the time to 180 seconds (3 minutes), making it ideal for brewing Gyokuro tea.
