Chasen (Traditional Tea Whisk) Holder Designed to maintain the delicate bristles of your chasen, this holder ensures proper storage while also aiding in drying after use.

The chasen holder may be a subtle part of the tea ceremony, but it is an incredibly practical and essential tool.

Since chasen are made of bamboo, storing them while damp can lead to mold and unpleasant odors.
Additionally, if left standing upright without proper support, the bristles will naturally close over time, making it more difficult to whisk matcha effectively. Using a chasen holder ensures that each tine remains evenly spread, preserving its ideal shape for optimal performance.

To ensure the longevity of your chasen, we highly recommend purchasing it as a set with a chasen holder. Together, they help maintain its shape and extend its usability.

Banko Ware
Located in the heart of Japan, Yokkaichi City in Mie Prefecture has been home to the Banko Ware pottery tradition for nearly 300 years. Renowned for its craftsmanship and durability, this historic ceramic art continues to thrive as a symbol of Japanese heritage.

Banko Ware is crafted primarily from petalite, a mineral that gives it unique properties, placing it between porcelain and pottery.
In addition to chasen holders, Banko Ware is widely known for its production of donabe (traditional Japanese clay pots) used in hot pot cuisine. Remarkably, approximately 90% of all donabe and tagine pots produced in Japan are made using this time-honored ceramic tradition.

Banko Ware is also renowned as a major production center for kyusu, the traditional Japanese teapot used for brewing green tea.
